Three cheers for Laurel Bank Guest House in Keswick!
Ariane is going walking on her own in the Lake District in mid-July. For the first time in her life, she will spend the entire holiday as Ariane. Staying in a guest house though means the hosts have to know.

So here is my exchange with them:
I’m looking forward to staying with you in July. Keswick is a good base for exploring the North Western fells.
I need to tell you something about myself. I am a transgender person and intend to spend my holiday as my feminine self. If this causes you a problem on personal or religious grounds, please let me know. I will understand and will move my booking somewhere else.
And their response:

Wow! What a lovely couple! So Ariane's only concession to the fells will be walking boots rather than high heels.
